Gould’s Beach House is a family home with a warm, communal atmosphere, providing guests with a comfortable and authentic stay on Haida Gwaii. Nestled along the shores of Shingle Bay, this rustic beach house reflects the charm of its original 1960s build while offering a unique lodging experience for visitors embarking on island adventures. With three bedrooms on the main floor and overflow accommodation in the basement, Gould’s Beach House can host groups, families, and individual traveler’s.
Transportation:
Please reach out, if arranged, we can transport our guests to and from the Airport. “We should be able to pick you up and drop you off” Island time. There is a commercially insured van at the house that can be borrowed for local use. There is lots of space to leave cars while you are adventuring.
Rooms & Rates
The house features three primary bedrooms on the main floor:
- Master Bedroom: Equipped with a king-size bed, perfect for couples or solo travelers who enjoy extra space.
- Middle Bedroom: Furnished with two queen beds, ideal for families or small groups.
- End Bedroom: Includes a queen bed and a double bed, accommodating various guest arrangements.
In addition to these rooms, the basement room provides overflow sleeping arrangements, with bunk beds and a futon, making the space flexible for larger groups. Guides working with Go Experience often stay on-site, adding to the communal feel of the house.
Rates:
- Single occupant (Private)– $95 per night + tax
- Shared Room (Double): $65 per person, per night + tax
- Group Booking: Exclusive use of the main floor for up to 8 guests is available at $400 per night + tax. Tents in the backyard are not uncommon, expanding the space for larger gatherings.
